The Brooks Hyperion Elite 5 is the first Brooks with a plate that I would recommend without a problem to a popular runner looking for a not extremely demanding but fast shoe. It’s not the most radical or the most “wearable”, but it is the most complete shoe to come out of Seattle: fast, ventilated, stable and with an outsole at the level required by the category. The plate works with you, not against you; the DNA Gold gives back what you give it; and the overall feeling is that of a fast runner you can compete with… and repeat.
